Vertebroplasty Testimonial

Josephine Lebo is 89 years old and lives in Arizona
Diagnosis: fracture caused by Osteoporosis
Procedure in April 2008

Jospehine Lebo woke up one morning with terrible leg and back pain and immediately called her doctor. Upon diagnosis via x-ray she learned she was suffering from a vertebral compression fracture.

“I have no idea how this occurred, I woke up in so much pain that I could not get out of bed,” Jospehine stated.

She had her first vertebroplasty procedure performed several years ago so she knew of the treatment options available for compression fractures.  However, she needed to wait several weeks in order to go through more conservative treatments before being scheduled for Vertebroplasty with Dr. Waldrip, Orthopedic Surgeon from Desert Mirage Surgery Center.

She was able to get back on her feet within 24 hours post treatment.

Now, a few months later Josephine is back to enjoying her exercise routine which includes using the exercise bike and strengthening exercises.

This new treatment keeps Josephine on her feet. She stated, “I really like to move around! I recommend Vertebroplasty for maintaining an active lifestyle. After having two procedures, I sleep well and feel good. I’d also recommend Dr. Waldrip.”
