I had the procedure about 2-3 weeks ago.  I was sore for about a week and a half, but they said that was to be expected because of going through the procedure and irritating that area.  The pain was a lot better right away.

I was always active prior to the cancer, and there are a lot of things I want to still do in life. 
However, before the procedure the pain level was like a 7 or 8 (out of 10) all the time.  Now I only feel pain if I’m out working in the yard.  But then it’s only maybe a 4-5 level and I can take a Tylenol 3 and the pain goes away. 

Theresa heard about the procedure from her oncologist.  He recommended it because she had a tumor in L1 vertebrae and when they treated it with radiation it left a void (as the tumor had eaten away the bone).

Before I had the treatment, I couldn’t lift more than 5-10 pounds.  I couldn’t do a lot of strenuous work; ride horseback or go to Cedar Point.  Now that I’ve had the procedure, I’ve already ridden my horse with no problems!  I plan to go to Cedar Point next year when I know that my back is actually set and everything is going well.
