Vertebroplasty Testimonial

Albert Occhipinti, 78 years old and lives in California.
Diagnosed with: Osteoporosis
Procedure in September 2005

Albert Occhipinti had been active most of his life and enjoyed woodworking activities such as making planter boxes, wind chimes and lawn furniture. This came to a halt when one day he began to suffer from severe pain in his back.

He was then prescribed pain medication and bed rest to treat the symptoms but it wasn’t helping. His primary care physician could not determine the primary source of the pain and referred him to a specialist, Dr. Do at Stanford. After seeing Dr. Do, Occhipinti was diagnosed with vertebral compression fractures and recommended vertebroplasty.

Occhipinti experienced significant pain reduction within 48 hours after the procedure. He stated, “I had no life before the procedure. I could hardly walk. Now, I feel much better. Without a question, I would recommend the procedure for anyone.”
