Vertebroplasty Testimonial

Shelby Brewer, 69 years old, Pensacola, Florida
Vertebroplasty Procedure in October 2006

After having knee surgery the last thing Ms. Shelby Brewer,69, needed was a fractured vertebrae. But the crutches she was using after surgery caused her to fall, leaving her in severe pain.

When it was discovered that she had fractured a vertebrae, her doctor suggested vertebroplasty. She was referred to Dr. Harold Cramer in Pensacola, Florida, who performed the procedure, and the pain has decreased ever since.

"I cannot believe it was so easy," Ms. Brewer said. "I was back in the office two days later and I'm moving around really well now."

She said the best part is that she hasn't touched her pain medication since the vertebroplasty.

"This procedure is absolutely wonderful," she said. "It would have taken four of five months on heavy pain meds for me to heal without this procedure."

Ms. Brewer recommends that anyone dealing with a vertebral compression fracture have this procedure because it has changed her life. "The fall was a blessing in disguise because I do have osteoporosis and that part of my back bothered me a lot anyway," she said. "I just can't say enough wonderful things about what it did for me."
